As a dedicated and experienced board member on the Contra Costa County Board of Education, I understand the critical role the board plays in serving and supporting all students throughout our county.

 

That is why I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of our county’s school teachers, board of education members and educational leaders from across our county, and their encouragement to run for re-election to continue the work we began.

​

My diverse experience as a parent, policymaker and environmental planner guides my current work ensuring all parents and students have a voice in our schools.

​

Prior to my first term on the County Board of Education, I served on the Orinda Union School Board, and as a parent, served in leadership roles on many school and district-wide committees including the School Site Council, the Acalanes Budget Committee and the PTA Legislative Team as Co-Chair.

​

In partnership with parents and residents, I will continue to prioritize transparency and accountability, provide strong oversight, ensure school safety, increase mental health resources and counselors, and encourage diversity, equity, inclusion and access.  I will continue to work to give every student, regardless of their challenges, the opportunity to earn a quality education and career pathways. 

​

As a strong collaborator with the leadership skills, knowledge, experience, and a degree in Environmental Planning and Management from UC Davis, I will continue to be a strong advocate for all students. I would appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve you on the County Board of Education, and respectfully ask for your vote.
